Instagram accounts we're loving this month

From femme fatale paintings to macrame necklaces, heirloom dolls and fab foodie pics, these Instagram accounts are at the top of our list this March.

@cindypressart

At first glance it looks like Cindy Press’ pieces are digitally manipulated photos of ultra-chic, ultra-feminine, and ultra-edgy women, but on further inspection they’re actually oil paintings and graphite drawings. This girl has some serious talent, so it’s no surprise she’s been listed as one of the top 100 American best sellers. Photo Reference: 30″ x 30″, oil on canvas, 2017

@grinpauka

Fashion illustrator Alina Grinpauka uses watercolours, acrylics and charcoal to produce intriguing figurative pieces that depict fashion in all forms from street styles to catwalk couture. We love the mix of stark black lines, clean white space and vivid splashes of colour from this Latvian-born luminary.

@wilderslow

Swiss artist Sonja Blaess-Eigelshoven creates rustic abstract backgrounds and overlays them with bright floral patterns that rise up off the canvas in thick daubs of paint. Her paintings have it all—eye-popping palettes, rich layers of texture, and elements of movement from the bright blossoms and dripping paint.

Scroll through and you feel as though you’re right there with her watching her pick out her preferred colours and tools, and seeing each dreamy abstract piece progress through to the final painting.

@carley_cornelissen

You can definitely see influences of Australia’s Sunshine Coast in Carley Cornelissen’s work, as many of her pieces feature cockatoos, koalas and palm trees. However she also throws in the occasional zebra, peacock or panda bear just for good measure, plus technicolour palettes and big bold patterns for some seriously stand-out pieces.
